Terms of Service

By using Kystek Launcher, you agree to the following. This is a small, self-hosted, community-run project, not a company — read it as plain rules for a shared space, not a legal shield.

The service

Kystek Launcher is provided as-is, run on infrastructure the maintainer personally operates. There's no uptime guarantee, no SLA, and no warranty of any kind. It can go down, change, or be discontinued at any time. It's free to use.

Your account

Signing in uses your Microsoft/Minecraft account via Microsoft's own authentication — we never see or store your Microsoft password. You're responsible for whatever happens under your account. Don't share your session or credentials with anyone else.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Upload mod files you don't have the right to distribute
• Upload malicious files (malware, files disguised as mods, anything designed to harm someone running it)
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the reporting or moderation system in bad faith (false reports to harass someone)
• Try to break, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' packs

Mod files are not scanned or vetted by the service beyond basic format validation (must be a .jar file, size-limited). Downloading and running mods is the same trust decision it always is with any modpack — only install from people you trust, same as you would with any Minecraft modpack from anywhere else.

Content ownership

You keep whatever rights you already had to content you upload (mod files, pack names/descriptions). By uploading, you're granting the service permission to store and serve that content to other users of the pack it belongs to, and — if the pack is public — to anyone browsing public packs.

Moderation

Admins can remove content, freeze a pack pending review, or ban an account, at their discretion, for violations of these terms. Moderation actions taken on a pack are logged in that pack's own activity history — they're not hidden from the pack's owner.

Termination

Your access can be revoked (account ban) for violating these terms. You can stop using the service at any time by simply not using it, or permanently delete your account yourself from the app's Account page — see the Privacy Policy for what that does and doesn't remove.

Changes

These terms may change as the project does. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
